"E-Day" is short for "Evaporation Day", ie the day when the last government employee has quit his or her job and turned out the light.Afterwards there may be a handful of generals barking instructions, but there will be no grunts to obey them; support will have been withdrawn, exactly as de la Boëtie recommended, and so government will be no more; it will have evaporated.
