In a free society, would not poor immigrants pour into the former USA and live off welfare, so bankrupting the society? Why, or why not? Of course they would, so there's another reason why this whole unrestricted-immigration idea is Utopian, completely unworkable.
Not at all. Historically immigrants have come to America to take the opportunities for productive work. They are not "spongers".
